| I recently purchased this classic black and white movie starring Cary Grant, and I really liked it. I had seen it many times when I was younger but the last time I had seen it was several years ago late at night on some satellite channel. When I first watched this dvd I realized that the version I had always seen on T.V. had been edited. | The sexual frustration undertones in this movie will keep you riveted!
The chemistry between Taylor and Newman are amazing. Set in a time in the south where everything was big. I reccomend this film to anyone who loves going back in time when movies had grit and a bite to them! |

| Ever since I saw Doris Day in her first film "Romance on the high seas" in a local fleapit in the Rhondda Valley in 1948, I have followed her career with interest. Not only can she sing and dance but her acting is so natural. She holds her own agaist some of Hollywoods top actors and she is still alive. What an obituary celebration she will get. | I've only had the chance to see one of the movies in the box set, which is Manhatan Melodrama. Very good movie, good performances. If you love Myrna and William, then it's a sure must have. The box contains comedy, melodrama and thriller with one of the screen's most celebrated couple of actors. Don't miss it, as the movies are very rare! |

| I'd put off getting this boxed set because it never went on sale. That is true of both this set and the Judy Garland Signature Collection. I finally did get this one, and for the past few days I've gone through the set and I can see why it's never on sale. Although I frequently see "The Women" and "Mildred Pierce" televised, it had been awhile for two of the others, and I had never seen "Humoresque" before. What a treat, what five outstanding films.
