| "Masque of Red Death" is definitely the best of the Corman/Price/Poe series. While many point out the well-budgeted, lavish set in comparison to the previous films, I believe this one is superior based on the story and solid characters alone.

| This is a great set for roger corman era fans of drive in schlock. Bloody Mama(as seen on the cover)I had been hunting for since I first saw it in the early seventies, is a real treat. Gasss is also a pop-culture treasure of the era. These two films alone make it worth the purchase. But only if your a Roger Corman fan, those new to Cormans films I would reccommend Death Race 2000, Candy Stripe Nurses, or Eat my Dust,first. |

| These are among the worst movies I have ever stopped watching. Half way through the first movie I thought the garbage can would be a better storage spot than my shelf. Should come with a Yuk label! I only gave the collection one star because that is the lowest, most miserable rating that Amazon allows. |

| Don't know about the earlier Alpha release on both VHS and DVD of this film, but the audio track on the Cheezy Flicks release is for the birds -- muffled, out of sync. Otherwise, it's a good flick, with Hazel Court looking absolutely gorgeous in her prime. Call me a chauvinist, but she was (and I'm sure still is) a real beauty, and someone with great class and dignity. |
