In the early 90's I remember having an hour before going to work on the night shift. My two daughters would be put down for a nap prior to this show being broadcasted. There are a lot of intimate memories for me and my wife during these times if you know what I mean! Now both my girls are off to college. It's like starting over where we left off 20 years ago ! Some times it is good to go back and visualize the past.

Quigley Down Under DVD

Quigley Down Under stars Tom Selleck as an expert sharpshooter hired in the 1860's by an Australian rancher (Alan Rickman) to "take care" of a problem Rickman was having with the aborigines. Also has Laura Ciacomo as a female co-star. Since Tom Selleck is one of my favorite actors (see The Shadow Riders, etc.) I thoroughly enjoyed the show. Alan Rickman is his typical evil self (see Die Hard)

The movie ends with an excellent example of a "show ... Read More:

As annoying as Keanu C. Reeves can be, this is his ultimate role! The 44 year old Canadian actor whose middle name is Charles plays Neo who is most unlike his character in the 1989 comedy Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.

Released in 1999 and written and directed by the Wachowski brothers this film takes the viewer into a dismal future for mankind in the year 2199. As ubiquitous as today's World Wide Web is, this film goes in a direction that takes electronic machines and their ... Read More:

One of the outstanding movies of modern times, both good and bad, Contact is a production of the Carl Sagan novel of the same name.
What makes it one of the most irritating productions of all time (only Twister surpasses it), is Zemeckis' idea that the major players, James Woods, Angela Bassett, and Tom Skerritt all have to act like nannies to properly convey the script.

In one the worst performances of his career, James Woods is downright ridiculous from beginning to end. His obnoxious ... Read More:

I try to avoid watching concerts for the fear of being distracted from the music by lights, fashion, and fake dramatics. Watching Bocelli's concert definitely changed my mind about television viewing of concerts.

It's hard to select the best song, but the great performance of "CANTO DELLA TERRA" with Sarah Brightman, "VIVERE" with Laura Pausini and "LA VOCE DEL SILENZIO" with Elisa surely stand out, so much so that they became my favorite night lullabys. Maybe it's only me, but I couldn't help noticing ... Read More:

This is a fun romp of a Sci-Fi movie, where a small band of people in the US find out that the world is being run by invaders that are true Intergalactic industrialist robber barons. Rowdy Roddy Piper stumbles across the underground movement and things get serious fast. Who can you trust and who is in for the big payoff? Especially now, when the economy seems to be faltering, this makes for great entertainment.

This was not worth the money at all. I love rock-n-roll parady like SPINAL TAP, THE SCHOOL OF ROCK and really thought that this would be good and funny, boy was I wrong. It really sucked, way too stupid and way too immature, even for me a 46 yr old teenager. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Jack needs to go back to the drawingboard before attempting another one of these.
