| Casablanca is perhaps considered one of the best well-done and most-respected movies of all time. Before I even watched the film, I knew that I would love it from start to finish. So if you are sitting at home wondering what movie to watch, I recommend Casablanca because you will not be disappointed. Ingrid Bergman and Humphrey Bogart both do an amazing job in this film. | In the product description is said it has subtitles in spanish, due to the fact that my dad only speaks spanish I thought it would be a great gift for him and make him remember his days of youth, but its just a BIG LIE!!! the movie only has 2 languages: English and French.
Now why didn't we returned it? We are too far away to start a process like that and my dad was too excited to take a look at the description that he just peeled off the wrap. |

| Far from the earth-shattering restoration we were promised in this BluRay edition, this is just another direct port to BluRay from DVD.
The audio is still mono, a major disappointment. Still a great movie, but Warner Brothers didn't deliver the BluRay product they promised. Those of us with upconverting players will get quality every bit as good from the plain old DVD version. |

| I got the Hitchcock "Premiere" collection from Amazon, and experienced multiple problems with the discs--freezing, pixels, vibration, etc. I got a second replacement set from Amazon, and have experienced the same problems. "Paradine Case" is the worst, and the problem was in the exact same spot in the replacement. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS SET until a recall is made, or a second edition is available. | The movies are exactly as described. Not sure if it was worth the price I paid though. I was hoping that there was a feature on the dvds to allow it to be either black and white or color , but there wasn't. Only in black and white. I saw them in color on tcm once, I thought it was great. Not sure where to find them though. The treasure of the sierra madre is one of my all time favorites. The main reason I bought the set. |

| THE SEA HAWK showcases my favorite Warners director (Curtiz), swashbuckler (Flynn) and composer (Erich Wolfgang Korngold).
I see that more than a few Amazon reviewers complain of the casting of Brenda Marshall as the female lead and inevitable Flynn love interest rather than (one might reasonably assume) Olivia De Havilland. I disagree. Was the pairing of Errol and Olivia obligatory? Were they Rock Hudson and Doris Day? Frankie and Annette? I for one am GLAD to see Brenda Marshall as Doña Maria.
