| I was pleasantly surspised by this movie! Will Ferell did a wonderful job. He was shickingly serious but still commical. I had heard about this movie from varous people and my friend happened to have it and I watched and now I'm in love with this movie. Maggie Gyllenhal does a great job in this as well. Great movie! |

I normally enjoy the Catherine Cookson movies, but this one was so ridiculous I had to comment on it. I found Hannah to be such an unsympathetic character for being so meek and foolish and full of self-pity. How can she think it was ok to want to marry her half-brother? She took advantage of the well-meaning Fred and trampled on his hopes without a second thought. | Relatively few people even know about this little gem of a movie. It's hard to go into talking about it without giving away the plot, but if you have trouble getting into the Christmas spirit or have forgotten what REAL Christmas spirit is supposed to be about, sit down and watch The Kudzu Christmas. The little smile it will leave on your face is what seeing love in action does. It's not just a kids movie, although my 7 year old niece talked about Mason, Gaitus and Radar for days after seeing it.
