| I am a true-blood, die-hard fan of Barrie's original Pan, and inconsistencies and the ways modern adaptations/sequels/prequels can skew the original concept usually bug me. It's easy to be put off by the premise of Peter growing up. Of course he would never grow up to be a stuffy businessman! Even so, I can't help but like this movie to some extent. | I had to review What About Bob? because this is one of the few comedies that almost everyone related to me really seems to like. I know just about every line by heart and sometimes can't help but say them out loud before the character does.
Bill Murray is at his best here as the annoying OCD patient, but you can't help but care about this guy. Richard Dreyfuss knocks it out of the park as Dr. Leo Marvin. This is a great performance that just builds and builds until he finally snaps into a murderous ... Read More: |

| When I tell people that this is my favorite movie they usually think Im joking. For some reason this movie has remained at the top of my list my whole life. Just looking at the number of high reviews on amazon made me smile because so many people see the beauty in this film. Its simple, funny and not over the top. Its also under the radar and not overly cliche. I even named my dog Mandy ten years ago after I was inspired by Preston's love for Amanda and the hilarious Barry Manilow reference.
