| It's a story that happens all the time in Sub-Saharan Africa. Some corrupt government comes to power and executes its opponents.
This is worth a rental, but not a purchase. The acting was decent. One big goof was that it looked like Africans from several different parts of the continent were used and it showed. (People from one region tend to favor one another in spite of the fact that they are from different tribes.) |

| I love love love this movie. I saw it when it first came to video and I have watched it many times. This is perhaps the only instance where I prefer the movie to the book. The cast is magnificent. George and Jennifer have great chemistry and make their rather improbable romance seem somewhat plausible. Both characters are sexy, quirky, smart, flawed. This was the first time that I saw Catherine Keener, Don Cheadle and Steve Zahn in a movie. Nowadays they are some of my favorite actors and I always look out for their films. There are ...
