| This movie is timeless...a great movie with great actors. I can watch it over and over again without being bored. It's up there with the Wizard of Oz, Gone With the Wind and others. I'll never be disappointed with this purchase which was delivered in a very timely and professional manner. |

| Excellent X-mas gift for Mom. I had a hard time trying to think of something she would need or want until Thanksgiving night when she spoke about wanting to watch the Thornbirds on TV. She didn't have the time to watch the series for the next few days it was on. So on Christmas Day when she opened her gift she was so happy. Now she wants her 3 daughters and her to have a girls night at her place to watch it. |

| My boyfriend really wanted to rent this movie, but we could not find it anywhere-- so I went ahead and bought a copy here on amazon. I didn't know what to expect, my boyfriend was a 'flare' bar-tender while in college (he does those amazing stunts while making drinks).

| This one won't solve any world problems, but as a night's entertainment, you could do worse. The chemistry isn't really there between Ben Stiller and Jennifer Aniston, but she's always fun to look at anyway. There are really only a couple of funny scenes: Ben in Jen's bathroom, and the fake French dialect of the St. Bart's beach boy. The rest is fairly routine. No great loss if you miss this, but nothing risked by watching, either. |

| "Am Unfinished Life" is a very touching, interesting story, slow moving and easily understood. It features some of the best actress/actors of our time. Typical of movies directed by Lasse Hallstrom. It is a set back and enjoy movie you will watch it over and over. I believe it has been highly underrated in the movie industry. IT'S A GOOD MOVIE!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!! |

| The Boer War is one of histories forgotten conflicts. When it was done both sides did their best to forget about it. As to the movie itself it is one of fine crop of films to come out of Australia in the 1980s. If the performance of Woodward is strong (and it is) that is only because he worked with the best on this one.

| I had an origiinal DVD version of Breaker Morant which I gifted to my grandaughter because I thought it was the best "war" movie I had ever seen. I ordered the current version being offered by Amazon and I hope it is unique but I have just returned it because someone has cut up the original version and mixed up the movie in such a way to ruin it. The current version starts with Breaker and the others being shot, then jumps to the trial then to Captain Hunt being killed and omits lage portions. I think someone should review the ... | I don't wish to be insulting, but I did not like this movie for several reasons. I should disclose that I turned it off a little over an hour in. I had no problems with the story, but nothing thus far had lead me to believe that the writer/director had the skills to save the movie. Please be assured, the one-star ranking is not an insult to anyone who liked the movie, made the movie, etc. Just a measure of how good I thought the movie was.
