| This is one of the funnier movies that I've seen in a long time; it's a mixture of "silly" and "clever" humor. When I buy a DVD, the test is "will I enjoy it more than once?". I bought this DVD, after paying to rent it, twice. Great on-screen chemistry between all the actors. Solid laughs. |

| Didn't keep my interest. The lessons taught by the teacher seemed basic. If a person watched this film without already understanding the understandings the kid comes to it could be life changing, although the film itself is not very inspiring. When I think of an inspiring film I think "Gladiator." Many scenes were very over dramatized and the kid was often ignorant and egotistical.
It could act as a doorway to spiritual enlightenment?! but beyond that there is nothing more. |

| Garden State is a romantic comedy starring Zach Braff and Natalie Portman. Although the acting is quite good and the cinematography is excellent; you're going to have to like romantic comedies to enjoy this flick. Look also for a good performance by Ian Holm.
