| I am not an expert on classical music. Having said this, I can tell anyone who loves to listen to simply beautiful music, you cannot go wrong with this CD. It is heavenly. It is certainly aptly titled. One can easily day dream, work, read, dine, or make love whilst listening to this music. |

| This CD is great for Christmas dinner. I discovered that laat year (2007) when I borrowed a copy of it from my library and brought it to my girlfriend's house, where she, her extended family, and I had a Christmas get-together.
It's not jarring or loud, and ideal background music for a Christmas feast. |

| As an avid fan of the Irish Tenors I thoroughly enjoyed this CD until the last three songs. While I appreciate the Irish Tenors showing their respect for this country and their American fans by recording "God Bless America" etc., I fail to understand what such songs are doing on a Christmas CD. I am especially surprised by the inclusion of "Battle Hymn of the Republic." | The classical music is, of course, 5 stars. I enjoy the Seraphim price range for educational music CDs. Seraphim never has the greatest fidelity with their CDs, however; but it is definately worth buying. |

| Ok, so the first thing you have to understand is that this is not typical Sting. He is stepping out of the box, both musically and historically. Once you get past that and understand the music for what it is, you will appreciate that it is a good collection. This music was from the time of Queen Elizabeth I, so when you're listening to it, think of the movie with Gwenyth Paltrow or the Showtime series The Tudors...it makes more sense. |

| I can understand the criticism and praise from the reviewers on this interpretation. Once again, it's a matter of taste and ultimately liking the balance between technical skill and expression. Sometimes the tempi can alter the course of appreciation as well, and I think that's more the case here.
To my ear, this is a very solid and beautiful rendition. Perlman plays with a very distinct crispness and Zukerman contributes handsomely on this recording. The slow movement of the double violin concerto has almost a pulse ... Read More: |

| I love his music, but this CD would not play correctly. I tried it on 4 different CD players. It played like the old vinyl when they would get scratched. Was unbelievable because I can't return it after opening it. Not buying any more CD's from Amazon. I didn't want to give it any stars, but had to in order to send this review. |
