| This is a great CD to listen to after a stressfull day at work. Debussy was an impressionist musician, or that's what they called him during his life. Most people don't know that there were impressionists that were not painters, so this classical musician is a breath of fresh air even for those that do not like classical music. |

| After listening to a representative sample, I would argue this set is a bargain at 3 times the price:
Yes the recordings are much as Bach would have wanted them performed. Its as if you could enter a time capsule and arrive at the Thomaskirche just in time for the Sunday Mass. Most of the comments below about the sound or performance quality of this collection are due to this and not to production or recording standards which are high throughout. | The Dale Warland Singers "Harvest Home" is incredible. It truly brings in the essence of our American harvest. The intonation is nearly flawless, and the many details in each song make for a truly incredible CD. I haven't taken it out of my CD player since I made the purchase.

| This set of glorious performances by Renee Fleming, both the older ones included on the bonus disk and the new ones, especially the new versions of Strauss's Vier Letzte Lieder, seem to me so fine as to be nearly beyond praise. | My children and I really enjoy this CD. It has lots of useful information about instruments of the orchestra. The children love the Peter and the Wolf story the most, but the individual instruments section is very interesting for them (and adults) as well! |

| I bought this because I love to listen to cellos. On my Mark&Daniels,the sound is first rate, overall. ButI would have loved to have the cello given a bit more prominence, audio-wise. The accompanying instruments are aggressive enough to drown the cello out in the musical pictures, except for the first selection which is just fabulous. |
