| Brightman's tone is so bell-like, you'd think she would be a perfect fit for Christmas music. The problem is she also has a rather light, intimate voice, and this CD is anything but. Let the orchestra swell! Let the chorus sing! All this accompaniment borders on bombast, and in my opinion is inappropriate backing because she sometimes gets lost in it. I must say that maybe I'm the only one that got the James Taylor interpretation of "Here Comes the Sun"? In fact, JT was dissed by at least one reviewer for his take on this Harrison classic. | When I was growing up in Northern Michigan we had a magnificent choir at our church. My father had a wonderful baritone voice, Mrs. Dix played the huge pipe organ, her husband could have been a concert violinist. Frank Toriano had a tenor voice that certainly could have made him a part of the New York Met, had he so chosen.
