| My grandson was 14 months when I gave him this book while on vacation. The touch and feel feature was great for him. He "oohed and ahhhed" when he rubbed his fingers over the animals. It's a very sturdy book and although he probably didn't grasp all that I was reading to him, he thoroughly enjoyed the book and had me read it over and over to him. I would recommend it to anyone with small children. |

| This is a very fun book with lively pictures and colors, but somehow, it's become her favorite bedtime book! She can identify all of the animals, except the camel and prairie dogs. She would make a jumping movement (sitting on my lap) for the frog, blow raspberries for the elephant, say "ooh-ooh" for the monkey, and roar for the lion, tiger, and leopard. | My son loves Caillou, but I was disappointed with this book. It doesn't include many of the typical zoo animals... they see monkeys, otters, and a couple of others... for one animal family all the picture shows is their noses... the ending is abrupt. I bought Caillou and the Missing Sock at the same time - we've read that book lots of times, but this one is rarely chosen. |

| I like this story for many reasons, including the rhyming sentences, the straightforward illustrations, the simple and gentle reminders from the teacher and the happy ending. I think my son likes it because zoo is one of his favourite place. |

| This book was very boring to me. There was never a exciting part![ well, i stoped reading it before i got to the end] i don't thik this ones very good, in my opinion. I say that i like the Kit mystery, Danger in the theater, i think its called. I give this a two star,because i don't know how it ended and it might be good. Hope i helped!!!!! |

| My baby really likes this book. My only wish is that the animals written names were consistent with the adult animal name (there is a kitten, a calf, some chicks, etc.) It really isn't a big deal, seeing as how he can't read and by the time he can read he will understand that babies are referred to by different names than adults. Overall, the pictures are nice, colors are vibrant, a great book. |

| I bought this book since we also own "A Frog in the Bog" by Karma Wilson. Since that one was a favorite, I thought this book was a shoe in. Little did I know, it would quickly become the most popular book with all 3 boys (5 yrs-16 mo). They love the colorful animal illustrations & the rhythmic flow of the text. If they hear me reading it to one boy, they come running & want me to read it over & over. THIS BOOK IS A WINNER!!! |

| The design and content of this book is very well-done. However, the problem (a big one) is the construction. The paper used for the pages is quite flimsy. My 18-month old daughter was able to rip the pages with ease due to the cut-out design of the pages.
I would have easily given this a 5-star rating if not for the poor choice in paper. Definitely consider this carefully if buying for younger children. |
