| I was surprised to discover that the ONLY type of activity in this book is tracing letters and writing practice. My 4 3/4 year old needs some practice identifying lowercase letters, but isn't really into writing yet. Other workbooks we have done (cheaper ones from the drugstore) break up writing with other activities for variety. We'll save this one for later, until he's ready for writing practice. The quality of the book is excellent though, it has nice paper and is colorful. |

| I only gave this four stars because I only have tried the mac & cheese, (which was very good!) I think it will be a very nice cookbook to have around. And I didnt use the dry mustard and it still came out great! |

| We purchased several of the beginning Kumon workbooks -- Numbers, Easy Mazes, Tracing, and Cutting. Our three year old daughter looks forward to using her books. The cutting may seem simple to an adult, but it truly requires a young child to concentrate. I have never seen her quite so focuse! For the other books, I tear out and trim the pages, then place them under a clear desk mat. We can write on the mat with dry erase markers.
