| I LOVE Jan Brett's books! I buy them anytime I see them whether on sale, old ones on Amazon as remainders, or new.. They make great gifts. I have a backup of many to give to children, particularly my granddaughters. The illustrations in this one are so beautiful it is really a keepsake to save as well as enjoy. Give it as a gift and you will make some child very happy and a parent happy,too. |

| This is a must have book! My children typically are quickly bored with coloring books----but this is so much more than a coloring book. It encourages the children to add their own imagination and DRAW and DOODLE along with the artist. Taro Gomi's style is very whimsical and not intimidating for a child to add on to. | Whether you are a published writer, or are still struggling to make it into print, Gail Carson Levine's book is a must read. Even though it is primarily written for young people, I find the exercises and advice on the writing process extremely useful. In addition,it is just a delightful book to read. | I bought this as a gift for a friend (it was on her baby registry). When I received I had to show it to everyone I knew before I could bring myself to wrap it.
It's just a really cute book with beautiful artwork. It's fun to rhyme about food! I personally think it's a great idea to introduce young children to ethnic foods. | I was left with a multitude of feelings after reading this book, if you can call it a book. It is VERY VERY short, too short to even keep a kindergartener interested. One whole page the text is "no david no" .
The moral message of this book is horrible, its funny that this child mis-behaves? Real junk. The only talent is the artist. Skip this one, there are tons of GREAT books out there, with a GREAT moral story and are amusing and interesting. |
