| I was drawn because our last name if Farley and we have a 4 year old who is fascinated by farts and burps - what young man isn't. We read it often and he is great with the sound effects. It is such a cute book! |

| This book is absolutely laughable in how it tries to deal with clinical depression. The author's suggestions are akin to the idea that wearing a smiley face on your lapel will make you a happier person. His insistence that humans are somehow "wired for happiness" is rather hard to reconcile with the Buddhist principle that "Life is suffering", yet that doesn't stop him from shamelessly pushing religion on his readers. If you're an atheist, you apparently don't even count as a person.

I was immediately struck by the text which is scrawled in a Neil Gaimann manner setting an edgy tone. The illustrations were equally stark and disturbing. The story was reminiscent of Clive Barker's work in the author's complete dedication to the darkest, most hellish aspects of humanity.
