| the book was cute, but reading it to a 2 year old was difficult the book is all about this girl's tantrum over wanting cookies and there is no punishment for her behavior..... so it kinda promotes tantrum's to get what you want!!!!! |

| This is a cute fun little book. The cakes are so cute and they are easy to make. Each design has clear directions on how to make the cake to the right shape. We made the pirate ship cake for my sister's birthday and she said it's the most fun cake she's ever had. We are looking forward to trying more cakes from the book. |

| My three year old really identifies with this book. He asked me to read it to him so often that we had to replace our first paper back copy with a new hardcover.
At first I was a little turned off by the art (collage effect with some cartoon drawings and some more realistic ones.) But now I too love it and don't mind reading it... yet again. |

| Wildsmith's artwork is very appealing in this little board book for children. The images for this book were originally published in other books, but they work wonderfully in this book that counts from 1 to 10. Each page presents a number of animals corresponding to the featured number (1 monkey, 2 deer, 3 mice, 4 butterflies, 5 birds, 6 hedgehogs, 7 fish, 8 hippos, 9 racoons, and 10 foxes). The number is represented numerically with the name of the animal below it (no other text).

| I love Deborah Zemke's book, Doodle A Zoodle. This really is an absolutely delightful step-by-step drawing book. But, it's also full of creative genius. We are given facts about animals we never knew, in a way that draws us right in. Deborah's book is a both an invitation to draw very cool animals (easy enough for anyone to do), as well as a treasure of quirky and interesting facts about the animals we're learning to draw. | We checked out every Egyptian craft book from our library for a homeschool unit (grade 5, and this was among the top 3 that we actually used. The projects in this book go beyond mummies and pyramids, and some are very unique (hippopotamus statue) while others are a bit cheesy (masks out of posterboard). This would be great for a classroom teacher as most of the projects can be completed in a short time and with few materials other than posterboard. | I LOVE these books. I am learning along with my two-year-old son about the masters, and he enjoys looking at the art. We went to our city's museum of art last weekend, and he looked at a Renoir he just happened to recognize from the Renoir book in this series and said, "Look, Mommy, Renoir!" Another lady looked at me like I had a little genius. Seriously, these are all great books with (of course) beautiful artwork - and fun text. Our favorites are Picasso and Seurat. |
