| I bought this book for my son who is 3 1/2. Yes, there was one for very young children that I could have got, but this book will grow with him, at least through elementary school. He often hears bits of information such as "This dinosaur fossil is from China," then comes running to me asking where China is. Now I can show him on maps that are designed for children, colourful, bold, with pictures of daily human life that he can easily understand. I recommend this book for any parent.

| Alphabet books remain the bane of children's librarians worldwide. Tons of these puppies come out every year. Sometimes they appeal to only certain demographics (like the racecar alphabet books, for example). | It's great to find children's books that are different.
I love the play on words and the quirky illustrations. My 15 month old girl can read along to the first few pages as they are words she recognises my everyday - MOMA (mama), Da Da (Daddy) & Dali (Dolly). My little girl has "Fashion" as well and both books are become well worn! You're never too young to learn about art! |

I think it's confusing for young children who are just beginning to develop their capabilities for logic (I assume that is who it's geared for, since it's a board book). For starters, it's non-linear...on each page, it jumps back and forth between what not to do (the Thingumajigs) and what to do; between the third person "they" for Thingamajigs and the first person ...
