| I purchased this book for my 22 month old who has learned that hitting is an "effective" way to get his big brother's attention. My son is fascinated with this book and obviously gets the message. We have a few other books from this series and love them. |

| I read this for my little guy today, for the first time, and I have to recommend: take your time and really put yourself in the Dad's shoes when you read this.
My son actually left me alone and went back to his cars, because I was totally in stitches over this book. It is SO TRUE, which is of course, what makes it so funny. | I read this book to my seven year old son and was amazed at the things he was telling me. We had a wonderful conversation on all the topics in this book. It is a great way to show children how to make friends and keep them. Complete with examples. |

| Thoroughly enjoyable -- this was given to us by friends and has become one of the favorites in our household. The text has a fun cadence that makes reading it fun, and my one year old enjoys listening to it. Eventually, I think she will enjoy the story, too. The graphics are rich, and we find something new on each page each time we read it. |

| I'd like to say that reading books made of poetry wasn't really my thing until a short while ago, then I came across impulse. Besides the red cover screaming at me I decided to open it up and read a few of the pieces but not before long I was hooked. The way Hopkin's poems differ from each perspective so distinctly is amazing and I love how the stories go in unexpected ways. | My 11 year old son loved reading this book. This is the story of a boy and girl who decide to challenge each other by not talking for a couple of days. They also get the rest of fifth graders in the same contest.
It is interesting to see the abilities they develop to communicate without talking. It is a great lesson for a child, and it also changes their perception of the stereotype of girls and boys. |
