| I gave this book five stars because it is beautifully illustrated and a wonderful new edition of this old classic. It does include a CD, and my one complaint is that the CD only has four songs on it. I'm glad I still have my older version on CD! |

| Like many of the books I wind up falling in love with, I stumbled upon The Lightning Thief by accident. I was wandering around Border's and found this gem on a table with signs saying "If you liked Harry Potter, then you might like these..." They were right.

| My mom gave me this book. I was a 20 year old single mother and started reading this book to my son when he was about 4 years old. We would put it away for a couple of days and read something else, but we would always go back to it. My son was asking for the book a couple a months ago. | I was first introduced to this book while in Nursing School. I was asked to read to a group of elementary students, and they loved the book! I was recently invited to read to a group of elementary students and they loved the story and the colorful pictures. As an adult, this is becoming one of my favorite books too! |

| This book is beautiful. I had to read it in middle school, and then read it again multiple times when I was in high school and college. I suggest it to anyone. It really makes you think and it is so easy to relate to the main character. The world portrayed by this author is so vivid! Read and enjoy! |

| We really enjoyed this book and reading it to our daughter - who is nearly three. It not only captivates her imagination but is full of wonderful old fashioned values - particularly of being "liked for the person who you are". I would highly recommend it. |

| I read the first and second Benedict Society books as an assignment from a book club I belong to. They weren't my favorite among the "To Read" list, but they did provide for some entertainment.
I'll begin with the characters. Reynie and Constance were the only ones that were slightly original. I have the biggest problem with Kate. She was to an extreme the stereotypical "tomboy girl". | I loved this book. I gave it as a baby gift to a die-hard Bloom County fan, and it is Berke Breathed at his finest. The illustrations are beautiful (of course they would be), and the story is touching without being cheesy. It is funny, too, in true Bloom County fashion. I recommend this to anyone (kid, adult, whatever)! |
