| We've had this one for a while, and we read it so often that it's getting tattered. This book is a delight. It is funny, and the illustrations are darling, and the words are not too hard. We can't call it "reading" anymore, because we've all memorized the book. It is an adorable book and Level 1 is the perfect spot for this -- it is just past a phonics reader. |

| In the second Allie Finkle book, the title character and her two little brothers begin attending their new school and their grandmother comes for a visit. Allie also adopts a kitten that needs a great deal of care.
Those in the age range the book is aimed at (I'd say second to fourth grade) will probably enjoy the school storyline the most. | This was a hit in my family. I got it for my nephew's 3rd birthday. We put the CD in, and soon the whole family (my grandparents, my parents, my brother and I, and my nephew) were singing along. The illustrations were done with such care, surprising for a children's book. |

| We have 5-6 of the Berenstain Bears books that we mix into our bedtime reading library.
This book, "Forget Their Manners," is especially handy for bedtime reading when I want to stimulate a discussion about a lapse of manners at the dinner table. | "Scaredy Squirrel" is one of our favorite books! My seven-year old son loves to read and re-read the adventures of this funny, "knock-knee'd", too-cute-for-his-own-good, squirrel! You can't help but fall in serious-like with this little guy! Melanie Watt has a great knack for storytelling and we are so excited that there are two more in this series! | This is the original Rainbow Fish story which is a simple moral tale designed for very young children. The Rainbow Fish is beautiful, but arrogant and selfish. He has to learn that superficial qualities such as beauty and wealth cannot be valued over friendship and happiness.
