| I did not know of the Pet Fairies series before ordering Penny the Pony Fairy. I was so pleased with the book and my granddaughter loved having me read it to her. The book played right into a 5 year old's imagination -adventure, but not too scary. I liked the "chapters" format so we could stop and start as time permitted. | I find this book to be inappropriate for the age level listed (ages 4-8). Not only do Ivy and Bean speak very disrespectfully toward and disobey their parents, but, most offensive of all, they take the Lord's name in vain. I have three children ages 4-8. I do not feel they are old enough to recognize they should not imitate the actions and words of Ivy and Bean. |

| Have always loved Bloom County. So when I was looking for children's books for my nieces I found this and the artwork is fabulous and the story is too cute for words. Great for someone tired of fairy tales and little princesses. The girls loved it very much! |

| i had to read this book twice because i was so surprised by how good it was. i dont usually relate to the characters that i read books from, but it was like i was reading about my own life and my own feelings. this book is one of those books that will stay with you years from now.

| I loved this book, but had no idea it was for grades 9 and up until after I read it. I looked on amazon.com and wow was I surprised when I found out it was for Young Adults. From my point of view it's not so kosher for kids because there is plenty of descriptive adult elements in it. But nonetheless, John Green is a refreshingly talented and creative story teller. | While this is a fictional account of self-harm, I felt that it was a fair portrayal of the main character who is attempting to deal with familial issues the best way she knows how. | I purchased this book because it is written in Spanish with English subtitles and I thought it would be a fun way to teach Spanish to my two year old son. But the book lacks imagination and excitement. It is almost weird to read. I've been reading to my little boy since he was a newborn and needless to say, he loves being read to.
