| I was very upset when I received an email from the seller saying that they were not going to sell the book to me because they were not going to be making any money on it. I bought it for the price that was listed on Amazon so it wasn't my fault that they didn't price it high enough to make money on. They didn't mail me the book and they credited my account back. It was very aggravating! |

| I listened to this on audio CD and I really wanted to like it because it's a National Book Award finalist. (And it's about kittens. Who doesn't like kittens?) The story should have been simple and touching but it was over-done. I kept wanting it to be over and it was a chore to keep listening. I can't imagine how young children with short attention spans would react to it. I'm twenty-six and I couldn't take it. |

| This story of a boy who was made fun of and pushed to the ground by a bully at school is beautifully illustrated. Although the book's main lesson is not to obsess over the past and project it into the future, it does not effectively address the problem that it sets up: schoolyard bullying. Children are often injured by bullies, and being able to put your mind elsewhere will not prevent future bullying. So I think that fear of bullies is not a good example of unnecessary worrying.

| Having not read the previous books in this series, I was afraid I would be totally lost while reading this book. Even though I've read other YA fiction like Gossip Girl or The A List, somehow the Private series never really appealed to me. And after reading this book, I'm still not sure if it does. This is apparently a new trend in the publishing world, to have a prequel come out in between ending a series and then starting a new spin off.

| my teacher in my school made us read thsi book and i thought it was pretty boring in the beggining but once i duginto it i found it really exiting,where else could you find a book about a girl who owns a gigantic wood that amazingly has a magical spring and get kidnapped by total strangers and blah blah bla im probably spoiling the whole book for everyne who wans to buy this book,sorry. and plus this whole thng was for my homework so yeah im done. | When one of my sons was five, he would get very angry about virtually anything. If you were in the vicinity, it was dangerous. He was kicked out of three pre-schools before we found one where he felt comfortable and peaceful. Whew!
