| When I opened the mail I was shocked at how short this book was, 50 pages or so, particularly considering how expensive it was, about $20. I was very pleased with the pictures in the book and the presentation of the information and generally very happy with the book. I just thought the cost of the book versus the number of pages was insane. I felt ripped off. Maybe a rich person wouldn't feel ripped off. But I did. |

| This is a high-school text, most appropriate for 10th or 11th grades, I would imagine. It does not divide economics into macro and micro. The publisher is Glencoe. The author is Clayton. The latest edition is 2005.
The text itself is finely done, clear, and carefully written. Important terms appear in blue, the sections are very short for attention-span challenged students, and there are plenty of groovy pictures, charts, and graphs. Chapters typically have three sections each. Read More: |

| DK Publishing created the "Eyewitness Books" series for young readers. This volume does a fine job presenting information about pyramids for the stated audience. The writing is pitched appropriately for younger readers. As with all entries in the series, the illustrations and photos are wonderful.

| Great book. A wonderful way to give your children/grandchildren a background of the US. Got me to thinking about stories my parents, grandparents told me about family history. Very appropriate at this time with immigrants being such a hot topic!!! |

| I was looking for a book on election day for my preschool class (ages 4-5) and this is a perfect book for them not only to read with me, but to take by themselves to look at pictures and to discuss with friends.
I would recommend this book actually for children 4yrs - 1st grade. (Older 3 year olds probably too!) |

| Lovely interactive book for younger girls in order to understand what the Great Depression meant. Material is definitely more appropriate for the 8-10 yr olds vs the older girls, in contrast to the Welcome To Kit's World book which is much more in depth. (And not interactive.) Nonetheless, it is a delightful book, highly educational, yet lots and lots of fun! A+++ |

| This book provides a lot of information that hasn't appeared in other children's books. I really found myself interested in the story and understand the life of Squanto better than ever before. I highly recommend this book. |

| This is a great book about Korea. I have Korean students so I am always looking for books about it. K is for Korea really focuses on Korean culture and things I didn't know about it before. The photographs go well with the book and I found it informative. I think my students will be able to share their culture with me while I read this book to them. There is a lot to prompt their memories. |
