| When I was preparing to visit China, I sought for more knowledge about China and their culture. Additionally, I wanted to know what things I should look when shopping. Americans buy so many things that say "Made in China", I did not want to bring home one of these items. This book "Look What Came from China!" by Miles Harvey was very helpful. | I own this book as well and in reading it to my grandaugther it brought memories of when I was young as well as seeing the excitement in her eyes. You have to read this aloud and it was truly a great experience for her. She always want to hear a story. I do believe we have to keep the stories alive in our children, the tones, the simplicity of life....a history. |

| Interesting known & unknown facts, not exactly what I was looking for. Because of that I have just skimmed through it and will go back later some day to read. No hurry though. Presidential Elections book was more in line with what I wanted. |

| This book doesn't tell a story, it is an introduction to eggs. What they are, where they come from, the different sizes, shapes and colors, the different animals certain eggs come from, where you might find eggs.
The illustrations are gorgeous. The text is very simple. Again this is not a story book, but a very beautiful book about eggs. My son and I love all things fowl, so he really likes this book. Sometimes he'll just look at it and inspect the eggs. |

| Being a fan of adventure fiction, I could not ignore this truly vintage tale. This is the story of many of the adventures of Robin Hood and his merry men. I must say, as usual, the movies can't hold a candle to the book. Hollywood has also chosen to ignore Robin Hood's attitude toward the church and clergy, which were important issues in his day. | Definately one of the best in the series. My favorite part of the book was the focus on child labor. It was quite appalling to see how children were abused as factory laborors (however it was tastefully done). A great addition to any children's l;brary. |
