| it was a great book, about a clash between "greasers" and "socs" and it follows what happens to the main character, Ponyboy. The book was impossible to put down and it even made me cry a little at times, but thats what a good book will do to you. I recommend this for teens because it has some violence and other things you may expect to find in a book about fights between gangs. This is a wonderful story of friendship and tragedy. |

| The story started off quite engagingly, though I thought I'd discovered the secret right away (chapter 4!). It turns out I'd only discovered a small secret and the big one was still to come! There's also an element of reality (yes, in a fantasy book!) that struck me. Not everyone is perfectly redeemed, people don't always do the smart thing (but they also aren't made extremely stupid just to advance the plot). | I always like to read a book before I see it's movie version. I picked this on up b/c I am a big fan of fantasy and I am growing to like young adult fiction as I pick good books to read to my kids. This is not what I expected from the movie preview, but it was well worth reading.

Children in elementary school should not read the Natalie Babbitt books unless they are very intelligent readers because of the language. | 'Looking For Alaska' is by far the best book that I have ever read. It is very well put together and is very entertaining. I read it without putting it down once. |

| I got this book for my almost 3 year old son and it's been great! We read it everytime he has potty time and I think it has really helped him enjoy sitting on the potty. The story is cute and the language is just right for a preschooler. It's make potty training a positive/pleasant experience for all of us. I also like that the story includes washing hands afterwards, still wearing diapers at night but then going to the store to buy big boy underpants, and having accidents. |

| This book was difficult for me to keep reading at first. It seemed a bit boring, but I kept reading, knowing that anything by Sarah Dessen coudln't be that bad. It took me a few weeks to get past the slow part, but once I did, I couldn't put it down. Her struggle and pain are an emotional rollercoaster as you follow the main character through the problems. It was a touching story and highly recommended for everyone who enjoys this genre of writing, especially any fans of Sarah Dessen! This is certainly my favorite of her books |

| This has been a tool for us to talk to our 5 year old about his OCD. Parts of it are over his head and I'm sure we will have to repeat this again but it at least gives us guidelines as lost parents for how to start battling this awful disorder. |
