| Maniac Magee is a wonderful book for any child to read. I read this bbok for me Children's Literature class and I could barely put it down. I found the development of the characters to be wonderful. Without a doubt I loved Amanda Beale, she was my favorite character and was definitely a spitfire. I would recommend that this book be used in intermediate grades. It is age appropriate for fifth grade and up. |

| This is the one of my 19 month's old favorite book. He will point to it and say "Mama Book" and will sit still listening to me reading this book from the beginning to the end. He loves the pictures and Snort looks like Jack (from the Thomas the tank engine) so he is very happy to see Snort. This is an excellent book to introduce a toddler to reading. |

| Ok, This is a novel "YOU MUST READ" This is one of those stories that make you think about your life and to realize if your life is as miserable as you think it is. Is to see how this girl get trought a lot of things and makes is out...well you should read it!!! It's an amazing book, you will get dazzled by it!!! |

| I read this book a few years ago in High School English. This was one of the first books I've ever read, and I was really touched by the difficulties that some girls have to face. Many of the women in my life have been molested or raped, and it really helped to be able to see what they might be feeling. It was certainly a good book for a young man in high school to read, I'm sure it was good for the whole class. |

| I listened to this on audio CD and I really wanted to like it because it's a National Book Award finalist. (And it's about kittens. Who doesn't like kittens?) The story should have been simple and touching but it was over-done. I kept wanting it to be over and it was a chore to keep listening. I can't imagine how young children with short attention spans would react to it. I'm twenty-six and I couldn't take it. |
