| I was shocked to see that anyone didn't like this book, to each his/her own.
I think this book does a remarkable job at putting those akward feelings about a "different" person in your life into words. Catherine's brother is autistic and she loves him, feels bad when people stare at him, feels guilty when she yells at him and wishes that he could just argue back like a "normal" brother. | Whenever Ms. Dessen writes a story of this length, it is tradition that it is a witty, yet touching love story. This time however, the two characters never really find their happily-ever-after, and the whole reason I read this book as because of that. It was a disappointing and altogether unsatisfactory story. Not up to her usual standards at all. |

| I purchased this book for my 22 month old who has learned that hitting is an "effective" way to get his big brother's attention. My son is fascinated with this book and obviously gets the message. We have a few other books from this series and love them. |

| I read this book to my seven year old son and was amazed at the things he was telling me. We had a wonderful conversation on all the topics in this book. It is a great way to show children how to make friends and keep them. Complete with examples. |

| I'd like to say that reading books made of poetry wasn't really my thing until a short while ago, then I came across impulse. Besides the red cover screaming at me I decided to open it up and read a few of the pieces but not before long I was hooked. The way Hopkin's poems differ from each perspective so distinctly is amazing and I love how the stories go in unexpected ways.
