| After reading and falling in love with Henkes' other books (Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse, Chrysanthemum, etc.) I expected to love this one as well. The other negative reviewers aren't being overly-sensitive. This book is AWEFUL. The things the older sister whispers into her little brother's crib are downright horrifying. | Let me start with what I really enjoyed about the book. The layout is truly interesting and creative -- some of the pages have the corners cut to look like they were gnawed on, some pictures are taped in scrapbook style, and one of the pages even has a large foldout map. There is a diversity of texture and style on each page that makes turning the page fun, and I wondered what kind of creative layout was in store with each turn.

| I have seen the movie over and over and love it each time. It was great to read the actual events that happen and note what Hollywood produced. If you liked the movie the book is a must! |

For a while now I'd seen Holly Black's "Modern Faerie Tale" novels in the YA section, but I passed them by, assuming they were just one in a number of "edgy" fantasy tales with goth-y or otherwise "alternative" heroes or heroines. Don't get me wrong, I love edgy and have nothing but love for a good outcast type character and characters with piercings and green hair. | when i started reading the first few pages of the book, i didnt think i would like it. i actually didnt want to read anymore of it, but im glad i did.

| This book is awsome. I was required to read it for a college Nutrition class and I am glad I did. I knew before starting this book that fast food is bad for us, but now I know how discusting it is. Since reading this book I have cut out a lot of the fast food that my family eats and I am hoping to cut it all out by the end of the year. |
