Get the non-pop up, the story is really wonderful and funny - not a boring read for mom and dad. I'm very disappointed, though; I love this book and we used to get it all the time from the library (non-pop up). We could only find the pop up hardcover online and it doesn't work well at all. The flow is hard to follow, too, and I'm always missing part of the story as I read, and having to go back.

The water talent fairy Silvermist thinks she is cursed by the white lady bug she finds in a game. Vidia is happy to keep spreading the rumor that she is cursed for good. Silvermist tries to show her good side and keep a stiff upper lip. This is book is a lesson of perception. If you put your mind on the bad, then bad happens. Or if you put your mind on the good, then good happens. What happens to Silvermist and others around her doesn't matter if it is good or bad. It just the fact it could happen to anyone. I thought ... It's finally happened! Ramona Quimby is old enough to attend kindergarten! She can't wait to do big kid stuff like learn to read and participate in show and tell. Parts of school are confusing, like the song about the dawnzer. But she is making new friends, like Davey, her first crush, and Susan, whose hair is so curly it just cries out to be tugged. But when things go horribly wrong, will Ramona ever return?

I had read this book before but had forgotten just how wonderful it was until I reread it recently. ... Read More:

We own and have read all of the Disney Fairy chapter books. My daughter is 5 years old, and this one was a little scarier than any of the others. Probably not a good choice to read at bedtime. We would still recommend it, but if your daughter is extrememly sensitive to scary things, then I might think twice about this one and read a different one from the series instead.

I give this book an okay because it was good but not great. i think the ather could of gave a bit more detail ,but not a whole lot. The auther could of gave a little more back round agout the family and Timothy. Timothy I could understand the aurther wanting him to be a mystery ,but he coud of gave a little more back round. Besides these comentets about the Cay I think the rest of the story was Fantastic. The story stayed to the story and the emotion between the chariters was great.

I am nearly 20 years old and I still remember seeing this book read on Reading Rainbow when I was very young. This book was an excellent introduction to the idea of homeless children for children with homes and would definitely make a child who is homeless not feel alone. I am going to be a social worker and play therapist, and this book is on my list for books to get in the future. People should remember though, that books like this are like books that bring up the idea or life of a child who is abused. If your child is healthy and well ... Read More:

My 8 year old son actually went to bed early every night we read this book so that we could read 2 chapters. Sometimes kids books just don't hold the attention of parents, but I truly enjoyed sharing this story. I choked up and had to compose myself. What a great story. What amazing life lessons, I loved this book as much as my son did. A must read.

This book is a waste of time. It takes way to long to get the story going and if you don't have a lot of time on your hands you wont understand a word in the book. The book only gets good for the last 50 pages which is a waste.
