| I saw this at a school book sale while I was pregnant with our last child. We ended up buying a second because we wore the cassette out. This refers to the book and cassette combination. With our new (13 years old now!) baby, it became a part of our evening routines, the stories read, the songs listened to, and it was peaceful. | I am always in search of good bed time stories. Night Thunderis an especially wonderful one, combining elements of night timedreams and fantasies with night time fears conquered. I love both the rollicking text and joyful illustrations. Now if I could only find a wild horse like the one in the book and ride through the night skies! |

I have read it to him most nights and now he repeats some of the words. He loves it and asks for it by name. I love the fact that this is a book about a dad and his child. Most books are about mothers and their role, but this one is pleasantly about the fathers role. Great nightime book. |

| Oh how too bad that this gentle book is out of print. It's not a board book, there are no talking animals, no push or pull gimicks. Just a simple picture story (no words)with three characters, a toddler whose socks are in a continual state of coming off, his cat, and a father who is trying to sleep. Beautiful, expressive pictures lead a parent to talk with a little one about what is happening. This is our 19 month old's favorite book, and has been for over two months!
