Books : Orlando's Little-While Friends (Child's Play Library)
It was a serendipitous moment when I discovered Orlando's Little-While Friends sitting on the bookshelf at my sister's place. I assumed it had been thrown out or given away along with all the other cherished objects of our childhoods. I was yet more surprised to discover the book was still in print. It was over twenty years ago in Canada, as a boy of four or five, that I first read this beautiful story, and its appeal remains strong even today.

Orlando sets off with his parents in his ... Read More:

My son loves the On The Farm books. We originally purchased Oink and Neigh and after he had us read them over and over again, we decided to get the rest. They are very colorful and the stories are short and sweet. A great read.

Save your money. The book has nothing to which a preschooler would connect. There is no point to be made, no touching humor...a little book with no reason to be.

Books : ALONE IN THE CROWD (Sweet Valley High)
ALONE IN THE CROWD was always one of my favorite "Sweet Valley High" books. Rereading it as an adult I appreciate how good Kate Williams writing is; like all of her best work for the series, ALONE IN THE CROWD is perfectly unified. This is achieved in part through repetitions of the main character's song and a poem by Emily Dickinson. The story is almost worthy of a classic romantic comedy. Shy Lynne Henry is passionate about two things only: music, and musician Guy Chesney. The Droids, Guy's band, announce ... Read More:

This book was quite good, and Christopher is a very sweet and shy character. Some really funny incidents in the book as well. And watch out for corny lines. But overall, it is a very good book.

Books : NEXT-DOOR NEIGHBORS
This story takes place in a city during the years 1957-1958. Puppets took a very important role in those days.

This book is mostly about a 12 year old girl whose name is Peggy. She is a new girl at school and city, she has to meet a whole bunch of people. She meets two new neighbors that help her out a lot. Her neighbor and she enter a puppet contest and try to win it.

In my opinion this book is a great guide if you are new somewhere. It explains how a girl goes from shy to confident. I would ... Read More:

A mother Chipmunk has to leave her young son with another family while she goes to take care of a sick grandmother. The son is shy and he doesn't play with the other chipmunks. Eventually, he adjusts and has fun. The illustrations are nice and cheery. A good book if you need to start to prepare your child for daycare.
