| I can't emphasize how good the three stories within this book are. Not only do they entertain my 4 year old (we read this book almost every night) but I can't wait to read this book as well. All three stories share a theme - arrogance, jealousy, and ignorance are all for not. Entertaining both visually and verbally - a must have for your child's collection. |

| The book reads well and can be used as the child grows. Initially a younger chil will like the stories and need some explaination but as you read the stories over and the child grows they can make out their oun interpretations of the habits (with some guidence of the parents). |

| I think that Brian's Winter is an interesting story. The author is Gary Paulsen who has written many great books. Brian's Winter is the third book after Hatchet. The book "The River" comes after Hatchet. Brian's Winter tells about what would have happened if Brian didn't get rescued out of the Canadian forests when he did and how he had to go through a strong and cold Canadian winter without and supplies besides the stuff he rescued from the plane. | How can you not love this book? It teaches children to think about the way we view the things around us. It is fun and exciting to see what something will morph into next. Because there are no words, children can set the pace to "read" this book. The conversational opportunities are endless. |

| I loved this book because it had such an out of the box writing style. The tales play up the silliness that is obvious when reading the original versions. My family got a good giggle from this one! The stinky cheese man is so funny. Especially for those who love cheese even though it does stink!LOL |
