| I bought this book to give to my husband to read with our 13 year old son. It's the perfect book for opening a discussion and answering questions. I chose this book because it didn't have too much information like the other books I found. This was all he was ready for. We could have bought it 6 months earlier and he would have been ready for it. But it took me a while to find the right book that didn't have way too much information. The author, Babette Cole clearly has issues (probably a fairy believing Mom that believes in free speech and loving every neighbor as your own husband, oh and I would bet money she thinks we walked the earth with dinosaurs, as Sarah Palin believes). | I think this book is hilarious and a must read for men and women. However, it should be viewed as a guide for sex as in the way that "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenence" is understood as an actual handbook on Zen or motorcycles. In Pirsig's "Zen...", Zen and motorcycles are used as images of freedom and spirituality for a man finding himself. Sex is used largely in the same way for Heimel: a vehicle to express the new freedoms and emotional turmoil young adults face as they wrestle with adult romatic relationships.
