| This is great for introducing the use of the toothbrush to a toddler. It has not solved the problem of sucking the toothpaste down the throat or chewing on the toothbrush. However, it has made the process a bit more enjoyable. I think my son thought I was trying to torture him. The book is very informative and the pop up scenes make it fun for little ones. Of course, you can't beat the lovable Elmo to make brushing your teeth a fun proposition. |

| If you're looking for some fun recipes that a kid will enjoy eating, this cookbook is fine. If you're looking for recipes your kid can prepare (or help substantially with), I'd skip this book.
This is a perfectly fine cookbook with nice pictures and recipes for things that kids will probably eat, but I don't think it's well-suited for helping a child learn how to cook. | My 1 1/2 year old loves when I read him this story, but he wants to grab at the book and the pictures; so the book is a crumpled mess. I wish it was cardboard; hense the 4 stars instead of 5. But the story is fun for us to read together and he loves the colorful pictures. There is just enough story to give us our 15 or 20 minutes reading time before bed. There is so much in the pictures to share, that we can easily extend that reading time to 30 minutes, or more, during the day. |

| My daughter just turned 1. She's a big fan of Sesame Street and books. I wanted to purchase a book for her that would provide many colorful pictures, but also begin to incorporate learning words and the alphabet.
My mistake was thinking that I could give this to her for her 1st birthday. I've put the book up, and we look at it together occassionally. Books with standard weight pages are just not an option at this point - that is if we want to keep the book longer than a week. I look forward ... Read More: |

| This is a great book that is able to will stand the destruction of a toddler. The large flaps do not tear easily and provide lots of fun for children. |

| My daughter is scared of the Dr's office so I purchased this book to hopefully calm her fears. She loves Elmo and the book managed to keep her attention almost the entire way through. |

| My son was an avid Elmo lover when we bought this book for him. The flaps were fun to lift for awhile, but it simply did not hold his attention nearly as much as other Elmo stories. We only watched the DVD one time, and it was short. An ok book and DVD, but I think not worth the cost of purchasing new. Try to find used if you really want it.... |

| Published in 1999 for Sesame Street's 30th anniversary, it is chuck-full of facts, trivia, pictures, lyrics... This is the second-best thing to a DVD best-of release, and is a great companion to the Songs from the Street CD box set. This book is a great trip down memory lane. This is why it's more interesting for us people born before 1980 than for the Elmo generation. Still, if you want to grasp what the early years were like, this is the book to read!
