| I like this book because it is an adventurous book and it is also a mystery. Dink, Josh and Ruth Rose help their friends by saving baby wolves from wolf-nappers. | My 8 year old daughter is a huge Wiz of Oz fan. She has 10 pairs of ruby slippers she's grown out of through the years, every WoO Nutcracker, Barbie, doll we can find and every edition book we come across. This is one of her favorite Wizard of Oz books. She loves the detail about the characters, the pictures, the rich history reviews. Its a great book and Amazon is by far the cheapest place to buy it safely and new. |

| Garth Nix has captured the attention of my sons and made reading something they actually want to do. I catch my ten year old hiding under his covers at night with a book-light to finish these books. Any book that captures the attention of boys in this video game age is my hero. |

| Story was great -- but the reader, very poor. Reader tried to imitate voices - making the characters come off very goofy and irrating. A consistant voice telling the story would be strongly preferred. |

| My four year old son is in love with this chapter series! A friend suggested it to us since he seemed ready for a more advanced reading material at bedtime. My husband reads him a chapter every night...sometimes more because they don't want to stop. It's become a great tradition for them, and something they both look forward to. We love that there are so many in the collection! Start with number 1 and just continue. :) |

| This is a good set of books for the young teen with lots of fun and a mystery to solve before Nancy can. If your child thinks the original Nancy is too old fashioned then this will win her over as it is set in the "here and now" with cell phones, the internet and all the usual suspects of the 90's and beyond. Definitely worth a read. |

| So I'm reviewing this out of tribute to the wonderful work of the late Ms. L'Engle. This is still a great book, even if it is led by the odd cherubim creature affectionately known as Prog. As usual, the Murray books combine the real and the serious with the fantastical, and a childhood disease leads to explorations into the world of the mitochrondia.
There might be a little too much biology and science in this book to make it completely enjoyable, but on one hand, if you understand, it makes the story that much more ... Read More: |
