I think this book is appropriate for kids, because it has funny stories about kids you don't see every day and kids who do strange but hilarious things. It's even more fun that the author uses himself as a character in the book - the yard teacher. He must have thought the book through really well, because it's full of interesting details. I read all three books in 5 evenings. |

| This is a beautiful story! I love the whole series- how big and small, each has an essential part to play... trusting, forgiving, accepting... and ultimately finding your place and purpose.
They are calling this book 4 and it IS the 4th story of Alexa Daly, but "Into the Mist" should come before this one, even if the story within the story happens before Book 1. |

The Dark is Rising sequence is one of those ubiquitous book series that all children seem required to read, and although I had it on my "to-read" list, I never got to it as a kiddo. | I read books aimed at children so that I can recommend books to my eight grandchildren. I can see why the Warriors series is so popular. Erin Hunter always has a new twist, a new direction to take the cats so you never get bored and you are always looking forward to the new book. If you are looking for a series to get your middle school children to read, this is it. |

| I absolutly loved this book!!! As with other readers, I also felt that it was a bit "much" for my 5yr old. I mean, it does say stuff like "a man putting his hands down a little girls panties..." However, even though it is a bit much, I believe that I would rather teach my daughter about these things now rather than end up with her being abused later because she didnt know what was going on. | Although this book incorporates currency into the story line, it is primarily a book with a math exercise. It does not really teach children about money in the grander sense. Children just learning the denominations of various coins and dollar bills may find something new in this story, but it wouldn't be my first choice to introduce the subject. There is also a restaurant menu with prices that could potentially be used as a teaching tool.

| My son received this when he was almost 4, and understood the concepts of solid, liquid, and gases by 4.5yo! This describes the concepts in such a way that youngsters can easily understand, but won't bore older children. I would highly recommend this book, along with other books in the "Let's-Read-And-Find-Out Science" series. |

| Brilliant! Bought the whole set of 7 books for the kids (aged 8 & 10) and they loved them. The format is smaller than I remembered from my childhood but the kids didn't care. They read them over and over again. They also loved the Calvin and Hobbs books. |
