| Of all the Dr. Seuss books I have from my childhood, I hadn't seen this until browsing on Amazon. This is great! (not that I'm surprised coming from the Seuss line). I had a blast reading it, and it's the first book my new daughter has seemed to actually respond to. I'd definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a "new read". |

| This book set is great for my 15 month old to carry around. We read a book, put it back and he loves to carry it around, with the other set of Curious George board books we got him. He feels like a big boy when he brings his box of books to us. |

| My youngest son likes monkeys a lot and George was a favorite of mine when i was little. He loves the book and read all of it by himself. It took him quite a while because it is a very long book and it is also well made. |

| This review is only about the `50th anniversary edition' and not about the master work of J.R.R.Tolkien.
I don't see any issues with the quality of the book. Like few other reviewers mentioned, the folded map is glued together and you need to take little care while viewing it for the first time without damage. That is not an issue or a reason to give this excellent edition a poor rating. Most of the deluxe editions won't be friendly to read due to unusual size and weight. People buy them ... Read More: |

| Batman started out as a dark brooding vigilante who had no problem pounding the pavement to get what he wants. Loeb and Lee seem to capture that flavor in a somewhat convoluted and complex storyline involving yet a new villain who somehow manages to coordinate the lunatics of Gotham (Crock, Poison Ivy, Riddler, Joker, etc., etc.) In addition we have Catwoman and the strange relationship with Batman taking a new twist.
