| This book is fantastic. I have to read it at least once a year. It is very entertaining, very fun and never gets old. Each time I pick up the book to read it it feels and reads as fresh as it did the first time. Great book for all ages and the best place to start if you are interested in "The Lord of the Rings" or learning more about Middle Earth. I'd recommend this book to everyone and it makes for a wonderful present for any and all occasions. |

| I enjoyed the plot of tracing the origins of the Millenium Falcon leading up to a treasure hunt, but the chase and danger was treated with kid gloves more appropriate for the young reader series. The climax was such a pathetic let down, one wonders how any reasonable person could have concluded that the treasure's purpose could ever have succeeded in its goals. | This was a much anticipated book and it did not fail to please. Since he was first introduced I had been wondering how this author would handle this character that she had created and it lived up to my expectations. It was wonderfully written and thought out plot and I loved reading ever minute of it. |

| Well not quite - this book still has some of the flaws the last LKH books have had. Too much sex and long-winded conversations. Still the plot actually moves along in this book which hasn't happened the the MG or AB books in quite a while. Don't get me wrong - I'm all for down and dirty sex, but enough is enough. Lets hope she keeps moving back towards real substance in her writing because I miss original LKH style. |

| I am eight years old and the book is great is for any child to read.
I really enjoyed reading the book. I definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys humorous books. Sometimes I couldn't put the book down because it was so interesting and I really wanted to find out what was happening next. My older sister, who is 11 years old also loved the book. | To start this review, I must confess that I have never read any of Frank Herbert's "Dune" books. At the end of the first book, "Dune" Paul Muad'Dib has taken control of the planet Dune and at the start of the second book, "Dune Messiah"; Muad'Dib has taken control of the galaxy. Furthermore, Paul has become a significant religious figure, considered by many to be the embodiment of a new religion. This book fills the gap and is the story of how Muad'Dib went from the ruler of a single planet to emperor of the entire galaxy.

| I really loved this book. Not for the romance, or danger but for the back story. It was awesome to learn more about Bran and Sam's past as well as get to know the other members of the back. It changes the way I look at these characters in the Mercy Thompson series. Though I didn't like the jumping around so much I would still say that if you like Mercy Thompson and you want a better look into some other characters this is a book for you. |

| I won't waste too much time on this - the preponderance of highly favorable reviews say it all. Yes, the series is incomplete, so you might consider that when thinking about getting started. Yes, there's quite a bit of potentially 'unpleasant' material in this and the other books, so think about that as well.
All that aside, though, this book is a great start to what is already clearly a classic fantasy series - fantastic characterization and immersion in a realistic and intriguing world will do that. Shocks and surprises abound ... Read More: |

| I bought this on a whim, and it what a wonderful whim it was. This is one of the finest fantasy books I've read in years. Rothfuss claims on his website to have displayed no talents as a child; that is only because storytelling in our culture has been dominated by television. The man is a born storyteller, and it shines in the book. I have to warn you though, that the book doesn't take off until 70-100 pages in. After you finish the book, those initial pages make sense, but they don't exercise the magnetic pull the book eventually exerts on your attention. ... Read More: |
