| ...or does McCarthy totally overuse the word "okay" in almost every exchange of dialog between the man and the boy? It actually gets annoying after a while. Nobody says okay that much!!! Aside from that, it is a very good and disturbing novel that portrays exactly the world that humanity will deserve after a nuclear war. |

| I'm not really sure how to write this review. This was an ok book. Just ok. It was kinda a letdown for me after reading her first two books in the series. Sookie is again on the road in Mississippi this time. She was out of her element which could be good in some ways, but I think in this book it was bad. I just felt that a lot of the book didn't flow and wasn't reality based. | I really enjoy this series of books. They are a very interesting read. I like the twists and turns she makes. I like all the charcaters and the realm of what's really out there in the world. |

| I have never felt and will never feel sympathy for Styker. I always felt and still do feel he makes his own problems. He is not a likable character and I do not understand why he had his own story. I feel that Sherrilyn needs to end this series and maybe start another with a whole new set up characters and a whole new problem. This series reached it's pinnacle with Ash's story and I don't think she can do any better with the other characters,(mostly unlikable) that she drags into the story line.
