| the book shoulda stated that it was part 1......it left me hanging for an ending, and the rest of the middle. its like leaving the theatre right when the movie starts getting good. |

| I have to say this book was absolutely AMAZING. I have been highly disappointed with a lot of new books in series by well names authors this year, but this book DID NOT DISAPPOINT. I could not put it down!! i highly recommend this book for anyone interested in this genre. I can't wait until next year when book #2 get released! |

| The first book was truly amazing, wow what an adventure. The second was quite good as well, with as much excitement as the first. However, this third one is lifeless compared to either of the first two. I just kept waiting for something more to happen, but it goes quite slow throughout.
He has them go back to being plain ole humans, which doesn't give a lot to work with. It ends up being too much like real life... which is boring.. which is why we read science fiction to begin with. |

| Great couple and story, if you like interfering gods and pretty hot love scenes. Anya was portrayed like a typical silly, immature goddess (just read those old Greek legends where the gods behave like 5 year olds and throw tantrums when they don't get what they want), which perfectly fit here. Still she was spunky and sacrificed a lot in order to save Lucien. A great read! |

| It was very well written, with imagery so vivid that it was at times disturbing. However, the ending ruined the entire book for me. I had never read anything by Atwood before, and I never will again. What a letdown! |

| I read the first book of this series and thought it was all right so I bought the next two. That was a mistake. The books are endless torture and endless wars and endless self pitying. I got so irritated with Glotka that I wished he would jump off a bridge and get rid of his aches and pains. The only character I liked was Col. West. I did not understand the reason for Bayaz's journey north; there was nothing there and it seemed like a pointless part of the story.
I will take a very good look before I read any more of this author's works. |
