| What a fabulous tale!
Having read all of Garth Nix's trilogy ('Sabriel', 'Lirael' and 'Abhorsen'), as well as his collection of short stories 'Tales From Across The Wall', and having enjoyed them all thoroughly, I was thrilled to find 'Sabriel' available on CD, read by the legendary Tim Curry beautifully narrating such a dark and intriguing story. | So this is the first of 18 book series featuring Obi-wan Kenobi and it didn't disappoint. I couldn't help but thinking something more is needed for this book to merit a 5 star, but maybe because I read the two Darth Bane stories before this one (which are excellent btw)I was expecting more "action". Anyway the good thing about this book is that it eventualy draws you on wanting to read the next book to see want happens to Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon.
All in all a good read. |

| This book focuses more on our little group of travelers rather than the set-up of the first book.
The new challenge: a watery world of danger and mystery that gives a terrifying and personal look at monsters: those forced to become them. Rodda keeps up her awesome adventure, characterizations, and spritely wit in this as the story becomes more and more exciting. This is excellent children's fantasy and I'd even go as far as recommending it to any adult looking for a good fantasy. |

| I have nothing against rats. In fact, I keep one as a beloved pet. But wow, they can be pretty darn terrifying in the right circumstances, and that fact makes this one of the freakist Deltora books they have.

| This is a good book and a good trilogy. The people that are saying these are anti Christian are being ridiculous. It's just a book. If you don't like to read about other's ideas, DON'T READ BOOKS. If a book can change your beliefs, you are WAY to easily manipulated. |

| In general, this is the series that hooked me throughout my jr. high career and some of my high school. I still feel that the earlier books in the series were the most entertaining, and I still think fondly on this particular novel as it brings in a new character, the wonderful world of the ocean, and the still-developing group. I'm saddened to say that not all of the later books were quite this standard, but this one had great charm that appealed to me. |
