All of the Erin Hunter books are great! I just love them and have read them many times over. I am not a reader, I hate to read!!! But give me a Warrior series book and leave me alone for a few days. They are the best. Thanks Erin for opening up a new world for me.

I thought Midnight and Moonrise were much better than Dawn. The whole point of the book was for the clans to leave the forest but for the firt 200+ pages they were just sitting around watching the forest get destroyed. In Midnight the whole book was about traveling, but in Dawn the clans make a longer journey in a smaller amount of pages.Once the clans left the forest the book got better.

This book really captures my imagination, says Taima, age 8 1/2. I think it would be good for kids from advanced 7 to kind of below 9 years old. Anyway, I really think you should buy this book for a present or just to read. Even older people could read it and I'm sure that it would be good for them too.

This trilogy is absolutely amazing. Garth Nix is an amazing writer and if I could I would give these novels 6 stars. The novels hold your interest and are told in such a way that you know the history of the mythical countries and magic without meaning to. I love these books and wish they had been part of a larger series. I recommend them to everyone.

On the one hand, I would have given Barker's 'Days of Magic, Nights of War' the 4 and 1/2 or maybe 5 stars it deserved back in 2004, when it emerged in hardcover glory. The second installment in his Abarat "series" brought greater excitement (as one would hope) to the adventures of Candy Quackenbush & friends in the wild, weird world she entered. In this 2004 segment, Barker regales with a nearly over-burdened plot, but manages to create a compelling world teeming with amazements. His paintings/illustrations ... Read More:

Okay, so the artwork is great (hence the two stars), there's no disputing that. The colors are rich and beautiful, the imagery creative, and the sense of atmosphere they give is really quite fantastic and captivating.

But the story... oh ouch. Suffice it to say that I seriously began to wonder if the main character had had a lobotomy somewhere in the intervening pages and I had somehow missed it. Case in point, and this is not giving anything away, but an escape scene through a forest was _immediately_ ... Read More:

Oh, how thrilled am I to finally have a copy of this book! I was introduced to Deltora about two years ago and absolutely fell in love with one of the most remarkable fantasy series I have ever read--kids and adults alike. Albeit written to childen, the story is thoroughly enjoyable with loveable (or despicable) characters, great ideas and themes, and a wonderfully established variety of cultures and mythologies, all centered around the continent of Deltora.

Emily Rodda writes simply, but it is this simple style that ... Read More:

My child is a Bionicle fan, and very smart, but a reluctant reader. When he has something well-written on a topic he's interested in, he eats it up. This book was great for helping interest my child in reading. I plan to buy more similar items in the near future.
