| I purchased several books for "the talk" with my 8 year old, and this was by far the best one. It might be too open-minded for some (keep in mind that I live in San Francisco)--but it's very in-depth and answers questions on all relevant subjects in a way that is appropriate for this age group. It makes the talk a whole lot easier--with a pictorial (drawings) explanations. I think you'll be happy with just this one book. I returned the others. |

| This is a question every elementary child asks their parent or teacher. Don't know the answer? Read this cute book and you will find out! A great book to teach one science concept of fall. | This is a great series for all age groups. All four of my children have read them. They range for ages 8-16 and they all loved them as well as me. LOL. |

| This is a book I thoroughly enjoyed as a child. I began to borrow it from the library for my own two boys and decided, finally, to order one from Amazon for my son's birthday. We returned the borrowed book to the library the day before his birthday and there were many tears. So, you can imagine my son's elation to open up his very own "Little Engine That Could" on his birthday. A fantastic book! There is also a newly released version with gorgeous illustrations. | This book was entertaining reading...except that most of the more interesting examples described in this book were so familiar. This is one of those books where I might rate it better if it weren't for the fact that there is a far better book for anyone interested in this topic. | This book was perfect for our son who just turned 10 and was starting puberty. It answered every single question he may have wanted to ask us but was too embarrassed or afraid. I would recommend this book to every mother/parent who has a son & would recommend that you read it first. Some of the content will be a review for your son - other content will be new!! I am so glad I found this book- it really explained what was happening to his body. Everthing from pimples, shaving, jock itch, etc. |
