| We've read many books this year and I'd have to say this is one of my 6 year old's very favorite books. (She especially loves reading about "Moses the Kitten" and "Oscar the Cat".)
The illustrations are wonderful with a lot of detail but not so that they overwhelming. We've spent quite a bit of time going over the illustrations pointing out a lot of the detail. | Growing Up: It's a Girl Thing was perfectly appropriate and was exactly what I was looking for. It talks about puberty and first periods to an age-appropriate audience (8-11) without talking so much about sex. Right now this is all the information my daughters need to know. They are still children, running and jumping, playing with their toys, and preparing for puberty, but still young girls that don't need "too much information" to scare and confuse them. | I bought this book for my grandson who just started second grade. He said science was his least favorite subject. He was reading the book by himself when I visited. He loves to read and he likes the book. |

| I bought this book for my 5-yr.-old son and it was a huge hit. He will look at it for a couple of days and then it's back on the shelf, but it regularly is pulled off again. He loves the little Pokemon-like characters and is getting tonnes of info (as am I) about the elements of the periodic table at the same time. He also makes it a point to tell everyone that there is chromium in our spoons which always catches them off guard :) |

| This is a good book for kids who like trains. It does have one area that talks about not staying dry but overall it is positive towards using the potty. |

| I really enjoy reading "Once Upon A Potty" to my kids. It's rather direct and features gender-specific illustrations of the "parts" for boys and girls. This particular book features the male anatomy of little Joshua. Joshua's story gives children the confidence to sit and wait for something to happen, even if it doesn't feel like something will occur.
I personally don't consider this book a good teaching tool for potty training. While it's a fun story and does get rather specific about body parts, it doesn't ... Read More: |

| Depicts and explains physics in a nice broken down simple way. So far I'm getting it as I go. No real retention; but that is my issue, not the books! I'm reading it nibble by nibble for my own enjoyment - but I think it would be a really helpful companion for students as it makes physics less intimidating. |
