| This book was on the summer reading list for my daughter's upcoming first grade year. After receiving it, we read it together and both thought it is very good. Each page has something a child can read, and a small paragraph for me to read. We enjoyed reading this together and have done so many times. She especially enjoyed looking at the pictures of the paintings the Elephants (!) had painted. We both highly recommend this book. |

| I enjoyed "Sing A Song of Tuna Fish" immensely, not only because of the fantastic description and detail, but also how Esme Raji Codell created an incredibly entertaining story of her childhood. I think she did a very good job of making something that in real life might not have been that entertaining, into a very good story. I think that even a 40 year old would enjoy this book!!!! |

| This book is an excellent read for parents and educators/teachers of young children. Many early childhood education center teachers make the mistake of trying to teach too much academics to preschool age children and it is the children's loss. The value of play in learning is underestimated. Elkind gives a professional voice to a very important subject. |

| I just read this book today, for the first time. As a person who was in grade school during the early 70's, in northern Indiana where I attended school, the newer philosophies of "free to be, you and me" and Sesame Street, The Electric Company, and Really Rosie, were seen as dangerously subversive, and too liberating for young minds.
