| I laughed so hard reading APPETITE FOR DETENTION that everyone in my house thought I'd gone insane. (Okay, yes, they regularly think that anyway, but whatever.) This is one book where the pictures literally are worth a thousand words, even though there are words included.

| I have all the books from the Learning to Get Along series. They are wonderfully illustrated and written. These are great social story books to help kids. I use them for my son and for the kids I work with at school. My son (5) will just sit and read this books on his own. I absolutely recommend Cheri J Meiners books. (I even have a link on my website for her books)
At the end of every book are ideas and games to play about the specific topic. What a great idea!!! |

| Too basic. It only had a few problems in each area. I saw the Kaplan study guide course book. it was huge 5in thick, and full of problems with explanations.

| This is a hilarious book and a must read for any first year teacher. A beautifully illustrated reminder that in teaching (no matter how long you have been doing it) things do not always turn out as expected. It is a wonderful book to read on a day when nothing has gone well. My students also loved this book and it was a great introduction to letter writing. A great companion book is "First Day Jitters" by the same author and illustrator. |
