| For a Bailey school book, this one is pretty good, but not that good. At least it has someone besides Liza who figures out what the grown up is. Bailey school kids books would be good if they didn't all follow the same pattern. The most frustrating thing about a Bailey School book is that they never give you the climax. One minute they're telling you about how one of the kids is getting cornerd by the grownup, and the next there telling you about the week after that!!!! It is sooo anoying! |

| So I recently stumbled upon this book once more after being out of the BSC loop for over a decade.
I had forgotten just how incredibly wonderful this series is. And this is the sweet and spunky beginning that continues to charm with some impressive writing and incredible characters. I hope young girls nowadays can appreciate one of the greatest girl series ever written. |

| This book is an early series of chapter books. They are high interest and good for getting young readers into chapter books. I teach ESOL students and I think the kids will enjoy this series. |

| I think this is a high interest reader for kids just starting chapter books. I teach ESOL students and it can be a difficult jump for them to go from picture books which allow them to get information from pictures to chapter books which are longer and often a dearth of pictures. Some have a very hard time making the jump. The short chapters, easy wording and high interest topic can make it easier for them. I thought book boys and girls would like this series and book. |
