| This book was so great, I couldn't put it down. I finished it all in one day! It's about a teacher who leaves Abby in charge of a gift box project. But they have a mean substitute who won't let Abby make the announcement about bringing gifts in for the gift boxes. Abby's friend named Hannah helps her out. Read the story. You'll love it. |

| Honestly, people are making too much of a fuss over *gasp* size four jeans. In reality, it's not that big a deal. According to my doctor, I am neither overweight nor underweight - and depending on the brand, I fluctuate between a size three and a size five. "A perfect size four" is normal. Would you rather have them saying "a perfect size double zero"?
Also, just saying - anyone who develops an eating disorder because Francine Pascal said that only a size four was perfect probably has more issues than ... Read More: |

| Poor Abby Hayes! Every time she receives money she ends up spending it. She is having such a hard time saving up for her new rollerblades!
I like that Abby is not always spending her money on herself, but sometimes spends it on friends. Toward the end, this idea is again repeated when she has extra money that she chooses to spend on friends, teachers, and family. Appreciating others is a nice subtle message in this book. | It's hard to say when the series started to take a dive downward, but this book is the most obvious proof that I have that the Alice series just isn't what it used to be. I have been reading the Alice series since I was in 5th grade. I am now about to graduate high school. | My son loves R.L. Stein books! He also writes the Goosebump book series if your kid is into scary stories. These Rotten School books are funny and witty and really hold my 9 yr olds attention (slightly ADHD). He has the whole series. Definately buy from here or other online site offering free shipping before you drive to your local bookstore. The prices are cheaper, you won't spend gas, you won't get begged for everything under the register, and the shipping is free. |
