| Have a child that refuses to read? I find that the "My Weird School Series" by Dan Gutman can get even the most difficult child to become an avid reader. (Especially if your child doesn't like school.) The writing is creative, smooth flowing, hilarious and an easy read.

| I read The Amazing Days of Abby Hayes. Its written by Anne Mazor. I choose this book because I have read a book by this author before and thought it was great. My recommendation is 8-9 years old, because they would not understand it. It was a well written book and it taught a lesson. This book was nonfiction. | Another great series of books for RL Stine. These keep kids attention and have them coming back for more. If you are trying to get your kids into Chapter books, then get these. They are entertaining and funny and most of them if not all are worth AR points. They are a fun read, so good your little will probably have it read before the end of the day. That is a great accomplishment for a child to read a chapter book in less than a day. These are super funny, cool, and entertaining and all the kids LOVE them. |

| My son who is 9 years old can not get enough of this series. He has read books 1 through 13 and wants more! He usually reads one of these books in about two days. The characters are so well developed and the situations they get into are hilarious. These books are clever and fun. It's unbelievable to me that they are written by the same person who wrote the Goosebumps series which my son definitely does not care for. | Ghosts Don't Eat Potato Chips by Debbie Dade is a mystery book. This is a great kids book that is about four kids in one of the kid's grandmas house. There is a noise in the house that scares the children. The kids try to solve the haunting mystery. I like the book Ghosts Don't Eat Potato Chips because, it's adventurous and fun. But I like mystery book's and if you do you need to read this book.

| I agree with the previous review that this book was similar to the Magic Treehouse series, but I think this book was even better than those. My six year old daughter and I loved this book. We planned on splitting it up over two nights of reading, but got so involved in the story that we read the whole book in one sitting! Super imformative and the story was woven well into the Ancient Egypt facts!! We read this as part of a homeschool lesson, but any kid who is interested in Ancient Egypt would be thrilled with this story! |
